Born in 1966, and riding since the age of 5, I have focused on training and showing dressage since the early 1980's. I have trained and shown horses of many different breeds, at every stage of life and training—from weanlings, starting youngsters, all the way through Grand Prix. I purchased my Trakehner, Martailo, as a weanling in 1993, and trained him myself from day one, culminating with him winning the prestigious 2006 ABIG/USDF Region 3 Championships at the Grand Prix level in Conyers, Georgia.
I am a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist, and have won numerous National awards, including five USDF Regional Championship titles, three Reserve Championship titles, numerous USDF All-Breeds Championships and Reserve Championships, several Performance Certificates, as well as USEF Horse of the Year rankings. I have also been featured in many national magazines, including "American Trakehner", "Chronicle of the Horse", "Dressage Today", "Hunter and Sport Horse", and "English Equestrian", where I am also a contributing editor.
My training is based on the age-old methods of classical dressage, with no short cuts to the end-goal. I teach and train each individual horse and rider with kindness, compassion, and respect. With classicism and the welfare of the horse being the highest priority, lasting results are achieved through a solid understanding of the basics and each step along the way. With the combination of true classical tradition and integrity in my success formula, my own personal results - and the results of my students and horses - speak for themselves.
I offer many different training packages, from single sessions to full-training, and being based at Capella Farms Premier Facility has been a wonderful experience.
