Jerry Parrish, "Cowboy"I was too young to remember the first time I was on a horse. I have been riding since that first time. I was 14 years old when I trained my first horse, which was a BIG learning experience for me. I worked for a trainer when I was 15. He taught me to ride five gated horses, which I did for roughly a year and a half. When I turned 16, I started riding bareback horses and bulls in local rodeos. When I was 17 I started steer wrestling and roping in high school rodeos. I continued riding bulls and broncos after high school. Bull riding was the passion I pursued for 13 years (now retired). I started jumping when I was 22, and in 1994 I started teaching. I have knowledge of horses and I work well with people so I decided to make it a career. I do my teaching at Capella Farms. The management is great, the horses are as good as a person can ask for, and the employees and instructors are awesome to work with. I am very content to be a part of Capella Farms. | ||
